What you will do

  • Own production deployment, capacity planning, and disaster recovery for daily traffic and campaign peaks.
  • Build highly available application, load-balancing, caching, and database systems with clear release and rollback paths.
  • Establish monitoring, logs, alerts, and operating thresholds for availability, error rates, and slow queries.
  • Deliver image and video through a CDN, and prevent listing pages from loading original files.
  • Work with security and payment teammates on access control, rate limiting, and change windows.
  • Write recovery runbooks and lead regular restoration exercises.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computing, software, or a related field; exceptional practical ability may substitute.
  • 3+ years running internet production infrastructure.
  • Strong Linux, Nginx or equivalent gateway, Docker, and cloud deployment experience; Tencent Cloud is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL, Redis, monitoring, capacity planning, and failover.
  • Able to join an on-call rotation and write clear incident conclusions and improvements in Chinese.

  • Design and build services for membership, courses, portfolios, and assessment.
  • Deliver core APIs for identity and permissions, learning records, upload status, and order results.
  • Move long-running work into queues with retryable failures and visible status.
  • Use caching and pagination on high-traffic endpoints to control database pressure.
  • Integrate only licensed payment providers and never store full card numbers in the application database.

  • Build OriginCG membership, course, portfolio, and assessment experiences.
  • Keep desktop and mobile complete across Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English.
  • Improve first-load and listing performance with lazy images and navigation that avoids unnecessary reloads.

What you will do

  • Test performance across browsing, sign-in, course access, and upload journeys.
  • Build repeatable scenarios with k6, JMeter, or similar tools.
  • Report latency, error rate, database use, and host utilisation, and identify whether bottlenecks sit in the app, database, or network.
  • Run regression tests for release windows and give a clear go or no-go conclusion.
  • Write Chinese reports that both business and engineering teammates can act on.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of testing experience including hands-on performance testing.
  • Able to read API logs and slow queries, not only produce pass screenshots.
  • Independent with at least one load-testing tool, test data, and environment preparation.

Nice to have

  • Performance programmes for content, video, or commerce campaigns.
  • Experience setting acceptance thresholds with infrastructure teams.

Teaching opportunities

OriginCG Certified Instructor

Help learners across mainland China build practical Blender skills. Instructors deliver L0–L3 teaching, guided practice, and Train-the-Trainer support through partner schools, training organisations, and community venues.

Mainland China, with Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area preferred
Format
Primarily in person, supported by online delivery
Engagement
Primarily part-time; full-time and project work considered
Schedule
Weekends, after-school periods, and school holidays

Training delivery is managed separately from formal assessment and certificate issuance. Instructors teach and guide practice; IABE handles assessment, appeals, and certificates under its rules.

What you will teach

  • Teach Blender units under the IABE curriculum framework, with animation and core skills prioritised.
  • Lead L0–L1 foundation classes or, where qualified, L2–L3 advanced classes.
  • Guide ADP-C community practice when holding TTT-1 or above.
  • Prepare lesson material, assignment feedback, and learner progress records.
  • Join lesson planning, quality reviews, outreach, taster classes, and certification preparation activities.

What you bring

  • Independent Blender capability across core workflows such as modelling, materials, lighting, rendering, or animation.
  • Practical teaching or workshop facilitation experience.
  • Fluent Mandarin teaching and the ability to read Chinese teaching material; technical English is helpful.
  • Based in mainland China or available for long-term teaching there.
  • Willingness to meet IABE staffing and quality requirements and complete or renew TTT certification as needed.

Teaching scope by TTT level

TTT-1

Teach L0–L1 and guide ADP-C practice.

TTT-2

Teach L2–L3 advanced classes.

TTT-3+

Course leadership, assessment support, or quality review within the authorised scope.

Strong candidates without TTT certification may join as reserve instructors and enter the instructor-training pathway.

Helpful experience

  • Existing IABE TTT-1 certification or above.
  • Primary, secondary, vocational, or higher-education teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of mainland school calendars and lesson scheduling.
  • A teaching demo, learner work, or familiarity with OriginCG and Blender education badges.
  • Availability to teach outside the Greater Bay Area.

What we provide

  • A TTT certification pathway and internal instructor training.
  • Teaching fees paid by lesson hour or project, discussed according to level, experience, and class type.
  • Priority for partner-school classes, ADP-C practice, and OriginCG courses in mainland China.
